I am sick of studying. I am sick of studying. I am really sick of studying. And there's still another week until I'm done stupid finals - my last is on Thursday! I'm not really that worried about any of them...not any more than usual, anyways, but I'm just anxious to be done! I'm going to New York with Winnie next weekend, when we're both done, and we're SHARING A HOTEL ROOM!!! going to see Star Wars in concert, which should be really cool. I've never been to New York at all, either, so I'm kind of excited about the whole thing, I guess!
Um, in other news, I got a part-time job working for one of my professors in his lab at Suffolk...helping with some sort of clinical research trials. I haven't really been given too much detail about it yet. I'll still be working at the comic book shop, too, so it'll be a busy summer, I guess. And I'm gonna take the MCATs in August, which is....terrifying but not as scary as sharing a hotel room with my maybe-girlfriend--. I think I better start taking more practice tests as soon as I get back from New York. Yeah. That's a good idea.

WHY DOES EVERYONE THINK I'M GAY???
I mean, I have a girlfriend! Maybe. At the very least, I'm DATING someone - because we actually agreed on that, okay. I think. Even if I haven't, you know. Done anything. BUT I WILL. HAH. Someday. Soon. Maybe.
I had a really nice birthday last week. But it feels kind of really weird to be legal.

I just checked the syllabus for one of my classes and our midterm is scheduled the day after my birthday next month. Which...kinda sucks. Not that I was really planning something or anything, but I guess it would be nice to be able to go out and get a drink legally for the first time on my actual birthday. I guess. Do you still get free drinks the day after your birthday???
To be honest, I kind of forgot I was turning twenty-one until my mom someone reminded me. It feels kind of weird. Like these past three years since high school have just flown by. Next year, I'll be graduating! I should probably start taking those practice MCATs more often, actually. To prepare.
Also, I think...I want to get my own place. I just don't know if I can afford it without a roommate.

Thanksgiving kind of blew chunks. Not literally, but, you know. It sucked.
Mrs. Jansen--My aunt always eats dinner with us because no one likes her she's, y'know, a widow and stuff. She's completely useless though. I mean, my parents both have big families so the house is always packed during holidays, but everyone else either brings a dish or helps out in the kitchen. Nooot her.
My mom asked her to do one thing earlier that afternoon--put the the turkey in the oven. GUESS WHAT? SHE FORGOT TO TURN THE OVEN ON. And by the time someone noticed it was way too late to even think about cooking it. WE DIDN'T EVEN HAVE A TURKEY ON THANKSGIVING.
I'm not joking. We had hamburgers. Crappy hamburgers.
Hannah brought a pie over, which helped. Mostly because she faceplanted in it. And it was hilarious.

I'm seriously really, really looking forward to getting back to school.
And, yes, I KNOW THAT MAKES ME A NERD. I'm okay with that. And I was pretty sure everyone knew that already!
I'm going into the city to buy some of my books ($$$$$$$$$$$$, sigh) sometime this week but I've been poking around online and I found one of the syllabuses (....syllabi???) for one of my courses--Anatomy and Physiology. Apparently, the professor has booked time in the Human Cadaver Lab for us! Some people might think that's really creepy, I dunno, but I'm pretty much ridiculously excited. So cool! And good, right? I mean I'm going to have to see all kinds of bodies (though hopefully not dead ones...at least not on my account...) and insides if when I become a doctor, so good practice? Right?
Anyways, I have to go because Hannah wants to....do something I'm not allowed to tell anyone about or else she'll hurt me. Um. Nevermind.
